This kind of story just gets me sooo angry. This girl suffered for a month while the parents prayed instead of goint to the hospital. All the girl needed was insulin! It’s one thing when adults choose that, like the “man with no face” who allowed a tumor to cover his entire face because he can not accept blood from another due to religion, but this is a child. The girl’s parents, Dale and Leilani Neumann, attributed the death to “apparently they didn’t have enough faith,” the police chief said. WTF? people.
Everest Metro Police Chief Dan Vergin said Madeline Neumann died Sunday. “She got sicker and sicker until she was dead,” he said. Vergin said they determined the girl died from diabetic ketoacidosis, an ailment that left her with too little insulin in her body, and she had probably been ill for about 30 days, suffering symptoms like nausea, vomiting, excessive thirst, loss of appetite and weakness.
Those nutty animals… Now this is some crazy shit! I thought that Steve Erwin (The Crocodile Hunter) was one in a billion to be killed by the stingray. Obviously though these things are nothing to trifle with. T This spotted eagle stingray flew out of the water in the Florida Keys and struck a woman riding in the boat, knocking her over and likely killing her on contact, according to a state official. MARATHON, Fla. - A 75-pound stingray killed a Michigan woman this week when it flew out of the water and struck her face as she rode in a boat in the Florida Keys, officials said.
Two Illinois Men Indicted on Federal Hate CrimeWASHINGTON - Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Grace Chung Becker and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois A. Courtney Cox announced today that Joseph L. Brown of Collinsville, Ill., and William Charles Bowen of O’Fallon, Ill., were indicted by a federal grand jury for conspiring to drive an African-American couple out of their home, and for vandalizing that home with racist graffiti. Brown is also charged with making false statements to a federal investigator. According to the indictment, on the evening of March 29, 2003, while at a party, Brown and Bowen came up with a plan to try to drive the victims out of their home because Brown and Bowen did not want African-Americans living in Brown’s neighborhood. Brown offered Bowen marijuana in exchange for Bowen painting the racist graffiti on the home of the victims, and Bowen agreed to do so. It is alleged that Bowen then vandalized the home.
More than 71 percent of Mexican women and 66 percent of Mexican men are overweight, according to the latest national surveys. With diabetes now Mexico’s leading cause of death, activists and leaders hope to renew efforts to crack down on junk food and other fatty-food consumption and encourage citizens to exercise more. But it will be a tough battle, as industry groups are expected to put up a fight. No one knows better the country’s affection for fattening foods than Lidia Garcia Garduno, who’s run a fruit stand in central Mexico City for the past 10 years.

Will need to wait and see if Spitzer and his whore take the opportunity to mingle with Paris on the red carpets of Hollywood stardom. Playgirl Magazine are all over it. They seem to believe that ladies everywhere would want to sneak a peek at the Spitzer package. Eliot Spitzer you sexy mutha f*cker you. You know what they say: big ears, big…circulation numbers? Playgirl has offered to make former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer “a very attractive offer” to pose for their magazine. On a posting today on the Playgirl blog, the mag invited Spitzer to show them “what you saved for such a select few,” dangling the $1 million figure offered by Hustler to callgirl Ashley Alexandra Dupré, whom Spitzer first met as “Kristen” and who has since been revealed happily offering up the goods for free on various “Girls Gone Wild” videotapes. Here’s the post that went online earlier today on “playgirlmag.wordpress.com,” which ETP has confirmed actually IS the blog of Playgirl Magazine:
Wow — imagine what they’d pay Paterson! We confirmed the legitimacy of the offer with Playgirl editor-in-chief Nicole Caldwell — so, Spitzer, if you’re reading this, you have options!
Suspect James A. Hole was arrested Thursday in connection with the killing of a real estate agent in Jefferson County (photo courtesy of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office). Sheriff’s Detective Sergeant Lawrence Lee says the man was arrested after he was brought in for questioning Wednesday night. He has not been formally charged. Lee says 71-year-old Ann Nelson met the man at the rural house in the town of Oakland. When officers were called to check on the property, Nelson was found dead in a smoke-filled bedroom next to a smoldering mattress. Investigators say they determined Nelson died of smoke inhalation, but she also had severe blunt force trauma to the head. Lee says some type of weapon was recovered, but he declined to be more specific. The man is being held in the Jefferson County Jail and is expected in court Thursday afternoon.
career student seems busted. “Girl” At School Was 39-Year-Old Man TOKYO — A Japanese man was arrested for trespassing this week after turning up at a high school dressed in a girl’s uniform and a long wig, local police said. Thirty-nine-year-old Tetsunori Nanpei told police he had bought the uniform over the Internet and put it on to take a stroll near the school in Saitama, north of Tokyo, on Wednesday, the daily Asahi Shimbun said.
Hospital Removes Toilet Seat From Womans Rear After Sitting in Bathroom for 2 Years Sheriff recommends charging boyfriend in toilet case NESS CITY, Kan. | The sheriff is recommending charges in the case of a western Kansas woman who sat on her boyfriend’s toilet for so long that her body became stuck to the seat. Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said Thursday he asked the county attorney to file charges against Kory McFarren for mistreatment of a dependent adult. The county attorney will decide whether any charges are brought. News about the case made Internet headlines around the world and left many of the town’s roughly 1,500 people incredulous. “The unfortunate thing is this truly is a case of two people, in my opinion, with diminished mental capacity,” Whipple said. McFarren did not answer his door Thursday, but later called The Associated Press and said he was done giving media interviews. He said he had done nothing wrong. “The only thing I am guilty of is I didn’t get her help sooner,” he said.
The man who went on the well known ethics crusades against businesses seems to have ethics issues of his own. Gov. Eliot Spitzer announced Wednesday that he is resigning, completing a spectacular fall from power for a politician whose once-promising career imploded amid allegations that he paid thousands of dollars for high-end prostitutes. “I look at my time as governor with a sense of what might have been,” Spitzer said, with his expressionless wife Silda standing at his side. “There is much more to be done, and I New York Governor Eliot Spitzer (C) leaves after a news conference November 14, 2007 on Capitol Hill in Washington about his controversial plan to issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. Spitzer dropped the plan due to overwhelming opposition to the policy stating, “I’ve concluded that New York state cannot conduct this program on its own.” REUTERS/Yuri Gripas (UNITED STATES) |
